Modern plaster moulding in Melbourne

Aside from heritage plaster moulding production and repair work, Vision Ornate Plaster also does modern or contemporary work as well. This project was done in a Toorak home near Melbourne. It’s one that we’re quite proud of, because of its design and how it turned out.

With the designing process, we had the pleasure of working with  Alfred DeBruyne of AdeB architecture and head contractor Warwick Constructions.

This is a custom project that consists of a two-piece light trough moulding and a 166 plaster battens. Having them surrounded by spectacular custom glass doors and skylights, makes the ceiling seem like it’s floating in all its glory.

What damage?😉. One of my favourite parts of our job is freehand work. Here, we took a damaged 100-year-old corbel and `hand built` it up on site. It was the most economical and efficient solution and a reminder of why traditional plastering skills still matter.
